The images above show intsances where section and auxilary views are appropriate. Section views can be used to show placement of features on a part without the dimensions being too congested. They may also make it easier to interpret features especially if they would be hidden in the top, right, or front view. Auxilary views are used to show true size and shape of certain features or surfaces. They also allow for easier interpretation of the part and help spread dimensions throughtout the drawing.
